  "Time and unforseen occurence"...a Witness loophole Scripture when your Sh## out of luck!

  i hate this scripture!

  it's a loophole....jehovah is of course protecting his servants but when one of his pioneers or elders is hit by a runaway car and killed it was just...."time and unforseen occurence...".

  yes jehovah will look out for you if you pray to him, but.....the "time and unforseen occurence" clause may still get you in the end!.

  Hypothetically, If Someone Created a Fake Congregation to Trick Another...

  let's just stay hypothetical.

  if someone wanted to create a fake congregation in 7-miles-from-nowhere, north dakota (7-m-f-n, n.d. congregation) in order to trick the elders at another congregation, what could they get away with?.

  just assume that they use a p.o.

  OTWO's final words of his Post 8504 remind me of Proverbs 16:25, which reads:—

  There exists a way that is upright before a man, but the ways of death are the end of it afterward.

  One way or another, the "solution" of being on JWN can't last forever.

  two witness ruling ?

  if a paedophile commits a crime against a junior there has to be, according to the watchtower two witnesses for action to be taken.. if one party of a marriage commits adultery, does there have to be the same, (two witnesses) before action is taken?.

  Here's what I said using that phrase:— 1) I believe that the "2-witness principle" is fundamentally about truth and rejecting slander and false charges. Corroboration/ substantiation is generally possible once trust is established. Even in this, principles such as found at Proverbs 20:5 (regarding counsel as deep waters) and Proverbs 22:6 (about training according to one's need) must be applied for spiritual healing and reconciliation to take place.

  When it comes to cases of child abuse [and by extension, any other spiritually-damaging situation], I believe that each party must be addressed individually according to their needs.

  The errant-JW pedophile's underlying issues need to be addressed so that he can take proper responsibility for his [assuming the pedophile's male] actions, which would be along the lines of a 12-step AA-type program but with a JW-perspective. A compassionate elder who has familiarity with conducting Bible studies in a penal setting would be ideal, I would think.

  The victimised child needs all the love and reassurance that it was not his [assuming the victim's also male] fault. A restraining order [or the like] should be placed upon the pedophile [according to the circumstances] until he has been proven to have fully repented.

  Others in the environment should receive the proper so that they are not enablers regarding any abusive treatment.

  The abuser likely does not relate well socially in many of his other behaviours and dealings. These need to be followed-up so that he can properly access a good relationship with Jehovah, so that his prayers are no longer hindered.

  Narkissos (Post 9448) includes this:—

  So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ (most likely an objective genitive for 'the word about Christ')"

  The NWT Reference Bible has Romans 10:17 as follows:— So faith follows the thing heard. In turn the thing heard is through the word about Christ ["Word about Christ," P 46 [aleph] * BCD * Vg; [aleph] c ASy p , "word of God"; J 7,8,10 , "word of Jehovah."

  Perhaps, knowing that Christ is Jehovah's foremost Spokesman, "word of Christ about Jehovah" would even be possible, in my honest opinion.

  yes jehovah will look out for you if you pray to him, but.....the "time and unforseen occurence" clause may still get you in the end!.

  As I meant to say, It's not a matter of luck, but discernment. If you're a newbie, you need a translator, a mentor, a guide, and your wits about you. At least, Jehovah and His Word are still there to help make decisions. And, of course, so are your contacts.

  hello ex-elders, onthe wayout, snakes, and wilyloman, just to refresh about a month ago i told you all that the appeal committee had overturned the disfellowshipping decision by the original jc as the appeal committee got a hold of me by phone and told me the society gave them direction in this.

  i have since explained the situation to my witness mom and dad, 80 &82, they are good with it.

  i am taking copies of the counsel you ex elders gave to me to be careful about what i say at this "alleged encouragement" meeting and promise you this, i'll watch my words carefully when they ask me questions.

  Thanks, Chris, for your interesting viewpoints. I hadn't expected anything like that. If you read my replies carefully on Pages 6 and 7 here, I am not interested in defending any practice [WT or otherwise] which is not soundly based on Bible principles. If there is a "WT two witness ruling" which in conflict with my "2-witness principle" understanding presented in my Post 488, point 1 on Page 6 here, then it would seem to be unsound, to say the least. You and I have different injustices to endure, certainly, but Jehovah doesn't allow us to be tested beyond what we each can bear, though I've thought otherwise and been through quite a few agonizing, sleepless nights, as you have had, no doubt. May justice come so that even we may acknowledge it as such!
